Position Summary

Candidate will teach on a semester by semester basis courses including Principles of Management and Principles of Marketing.

Part-time faculty pay rates are based upon educational qualifications. The rates per credit hour for each educational level are as follows:

Less than Bachelor’s degree $450
Bachelor’s degree $475
Master’s degree $500
Master’s plus 30 semester hours (ABD) $525
Doctorate $550

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

All adjunct faculty positions require excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.

The primary responsibility of adjunct faculty at CSCC is to provide quality instruction for the student by employing teaching/learning processes and strategies that promote student learning.
This goal is accomplished by working with the student in classrooms and laboratories, individual sessions, and other related activities directed toward student learning.
In general, minimum faculty responsibilities to the College include the following:
*To demonstrate an understanding of the College’s mission and purposes.
*To stay current in the field of study, subject matter, and skills as appropriate.
*To improve teaching skills by participating in on-going professional development activities.
*To submit current course syllabi, objectives, teaching strategies and assessments to the instructional supervisor.
*To keep accurate records of student attendance and performance and submit same at the end of the semester.

Required Qualifications

*Minimum of 18 graduate hours in business related courses.
*5 years relevant business work experience with leadership/management included.
