Position Summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is a comprehensive, multicultural, public, open—access college. This is a full-time fiscal year professional position reporting to the Director of Digital Learning. The Coordinator is responsible for providing support to faculty through the administration of the College’s Learning Management System (LMS), instructional software, and technical support of the LMS.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Required Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field with 4+ years of web content development/ management experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field with 2+ years of web content development/ management experience. Experience in both Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems. Experience working with a Learning Management System(LMS).

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of higher education experience.
Experience with D2L’s Brightspace LMS.
Experience with multimedia and JavaScript.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics

Knowledge of basic web development languages. Strong working knowledge of the College’s Learning Management System. Ability to communicate/coordinate with College departments and faculty. Ability to supervise, motivate, and lead staff. Ability to troubleshoot technical problems related to the College LMS and resolve issues in a timely manner. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with faculty members, students, college personnel, and external agencies.
