Position Title Director, Administrative Computing
Department MSCC-Info Tech and Telecom
Position Summary

Direct and manage computer systems to support all administrative areas of the college. Direct the support of all associated central administrative computing. Provide leadership and support to the administrative computing services personnel. Oversee the planning and implementation of software solutions that support the strategic, institutional effectiveness, student success and quality enhancement plans of the College. Direct all systems analysis and design, programming and software implementation to support all administrative functions of the college including all business and student information computing systems. Write scripts that will support data-driven management of the college at all levels.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support for end-users to ensure the administrative systems software provides the functionality needed for department/end-user success
• Direct the planning, design, development and implementation of all new administrative software systems
• Manage the acquisition, installation and end-user training of all third-party software systems
• Coordinate and assist end-users in administrative systems training needs
• Coordinate task priorities and schedules for the Administrative Computing team
• Provide team leadership and technical guidance for the Administrative Computing team
• Communicate and cooperate with the Vice President of Quality Assurance and Performance Funding regarding all software or hardware issues

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensure audit guidelines are followed
• Serve on campus committees
• Other associated duties as assigned by the Vice President for Quality Assurance and Performance Funding

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of four (4) years’ work experience in a computer-related field to include administrative systems analysis and design, planning and management, programming, and database administration.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s in computer science or related field, experience with Banner and ARGOS or similar platforms, demonstrated excellence completing complex projects, and previous successful supervisory experience.
