Position Title Off-Campus Site Clerk (Work Study)

Position Summary

The work study student will work closely with the assigned supervisor of the Off-Campus site. The student will be responsible for doing entry level duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Operates office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, and telephone system.

Answers telephones, take messages, greet students, the general public and campus visitors.

Files and maintain office files.

Processes forms, documents, and other records.

Pickup and delivery of mail, parcels, etc.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Only students who have received an award for federal work study can apply for this position.

Some computer knowledge is preferable.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to work independently, take verbal or written instructions and follow directions.

Ability to perform a variety of responsible clerical tasks.

Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, campus community, and public.

Confidentiality of records and information is required, as well as a display of professional behavior.
