Position Summary

Responsible for posting, updating, and managing the College Faculty/Staff Handbook and policy website content.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

A. Work closely with Director of Human Resources to maintain a current and comprehensive policy manual.
B. Review policies and procedures for accuracy and make recommendation for adjustments.
C. Maintain an awareness of new regulatory requirements that impact Nashville State Community College.
D. Manages and determines content placement on the College policy homepage.
E. Ensure that College and TBR policy and procedures are accessible.
F. Create and draft compliance bulletins to educate employees on updates to policies or new regulatory developments.
G. Work independently on a variety of tasks.
H. Perform related work as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics

• Must have functional and technical skills in policy and procedure writing and interpretation. Strong writing, grammatical, and editing skills are particularly important.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively interact with all levels and departments.
• Excellent time management, organizational and influencing skills.
• Must have these required computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, MS Access.
